Each sphere sculpture is carefully cut, shaped, and welded by hand using high-quality steel. The detailed flower pattern offers a mix of structure and softness, making it equally suited to a contemporary courtyard or a wild, natural garden.

Finish Options

Rusted - the sphere sculpture will arrive with a fully matured rustic patina. The photos show a sphere after around 4-5 months outdoors in Norfolk.

Ready to Rust - your sculpture arrives new - freshly made to order in clean, bare steel. Ready to rust naturally or be painted to suit your style. Over time, the steel will naturally develop a rich rust patina with warm, earthy tones that deepen with age. To encourage the rusting process, simply mist it with salty water. Once it reaches the look you like, a light coat of linseed or danish oil (cooking oil works too) will help preserve the colour and finish. Left untreated, it will continue to weather and evolve beautifully through the years. Applying oil will soften and slightly deepen the patina colour. (The rusted sphere shown is untreated and has no oil applied.)

Each sphere comes with a sturdy ground peg to anchor it securely on uneven or sloping ground. If you’d prefer a freestanding base (similar to a plant stand) or additional fixings for hard surfaces (bolt holes with stand off's), please use the contact form – I’m happy to offer custom solutions.
